WRC is superior in just about every facet. Ignore stburr91, he's a known WRC troll and spends all his free time hating on the game and trying to convince people to go back to DR2.0 lol I've got a butt load of hours in both DR1 and DR2 on multiple devices and WRC is easily the best of the lot. Plus, you get 19 stages, close to 70 classic cars and all the latest WRC and WRC2/Juniors to play with. My GOTY for sure.
Wait for them to fix the AI on this WRC. Then it will be this one above previous DiRT Rally by the single player potential and just by very very little.
Graphics are worse if you care about that, but the replay value is here more than on the DR2.0. DR1 is strong because of Pikes Peak as well.
All of the 3 in a perfect world where EA WRC is fixed.
You could have just answered the OP's question, and left it at that, but instead you go out of your way to harass other users.
Why is this kind of harassment allowed on this forum?
Update after update, but the actual problems remain.
And we shouldn't forget, that codemasters always had that talent to put a massive amout of problems into their games, while the driving itself was always brilliant (exclude dirt 4 and 5)
That's just how they are...
Idk, EA WRC isn't bad, but I just can't agree that its better in every way when they fail to match or out do the previous titles in more things than people like to admit, I feel like they took 2 steps back personally.
So ZeroAffex can suck it.
Personally, I find WRC better than DR2. DR2 has an exaggerated arcade slidey physics. Cars slide like on ice and were gifted to the player. They slide too easily and they have too much power. It became a game of managing power oversteer. This, however, is not necessarily easy. Even Mariokart can be challenging but the easy slide physics made it so the other technical aspects of rally driving (harnessing weight transfer) became less relevant. Faster times just meant, better memorization of the (short) stages and better twitch reflexes. It got old so I went to RBR. Now WRC is the one I play, partly because it is new and stages are new. WRC stages are not only longer but way more technical; as reflected in the more detailed pacenotes required to drive them fast.
Also, Half DR2 came from DR1 which came out in 2015...so its an old game with short stages that everyone has memorized by now. If you dont have it, it'll be fun but so is WRC.
EA WRC suffers from frame-skipping and major graphical issues.
WRC is fun when it works, but has not matured into a solid game yet.
Just curious about the flat comment? When you say flat what are you talking about!
It's pretty much the same but better in almost every regard and it does have the official WRC license on top.
Rally 2.0 is still the best, despite the lack of today's over-bloated bells and whistles.
Codemasters' philosophy was diagonally opposed to EA's --deliver a solid game without insulting the players/customers' intelligence. Until EA absorbed them.
The Evil Aempire is crying all the way to the bank.
