Same problem DR2.0 had, poorly put together categories. How do you think a 98 Cordoba could compete with a 2010 C4 ? :)
Have you tried NR4 with anything else than the MC-Rae car ? Same problem.
Not only that, some categories are just plain wrong. Rally 2 for instance is supposed to cover WRC2 for the 2015-2018 era, would be fine, apart for the fact that there is that Fabia 2022 in there, ruining any kind of competition too.
It is really a shame all those things dragging the game down, because the driving and stage layout (not design, which is plain and generic for 90% of the stages) are amazing. I am 70 hours in because it is fun to drive, but I always end up closing the game with a bitter taste due to all the bugs, graphics issue, poolry designed menu (seriously what was wrong with using shoulder buttons to switch between setup screens, why do I have to press twice the same amount of buttons ?) and lack of attachement to details that it could have deserved.
The Renault 5 for excample is from 1983, comes with an slow, old, wide graded 5 H Pattern Gearbox(like all other cars in H3 RWD class), the MK2 Escort is an 2003 build with an sequential super fast, short graded, 6 gear box.
Clearly everyone could drive the H3 cars virtually with an sequential shifter but that doesn’t help also…
When I remember right all the other cars of H3 RWD are from 1979 to 1989 and matches so fine in their group (and race against each other irl in hundreds of rally’s) and they are a real fair competition to drive virtually against each other when there weren’t these 2003er Ford…
I was an our ago with the Renault 5 turbo in Pacifica/Batukangkung, try to beat those next level Escorts - no chance!!
But with an 6:10.062 on my third try it was my first Podium for my small cheeky👍🙌!!
But also nearly half a minute slower than these OP Escorts on P1 and P2… with an 5:40 the Escorts are far faster than all Group B RWDs on Leaderboard on that stage, including the 430PS BMW M1… On P4 there was an hard to beat nice Stratos, that are the cars that are welcome in this class👍👌…
To have an nice competition for the MK2 Escorts pilots they has sorted in in the Group B AWDs!!
But it is as it is and It was a ton of fun to drive the H3 RWD Renault 5 Turbo in Pacifica!! To all who hadn’t driven it so far - you have to give it a go👍👌!! So thrilling to drive with that amazing sound and cheeky but challenging behavior, it is just one - fun pure!!!

Monster! Or should that be Mon Dur!
Thanks for the very interesting link, I have already read the whole stuff!
In Portugal on Touca I could get another Podium by my second try with the Renault 5 Turbo! In the Leaderboard of Touca the ,small cheeky‘ now stands proudly between all that overpowered Escorts…
It starts to become my absolute favorite car in the whole game and replaces the Lancia 037… I am getting better and better with it, you can beat the R5 through the corners that is unbelievable, and it is amazing to do pithy drifts with it!!
