Sequential vs H-Shifter
Why do I have to keep changing the shifting option in Assists between H-shifter and sequential every time I drive a car with H-shifter or sequential gears? In online matches, you don't even get the option to do so, leading to the hilarious situation of being able to go from directly from 5th to 2nd gear in a supposedly sequential car. So much for realism.

In DR 2.0, you had an option called "Sequential OR H-Shifter." This meant the game would follow your H-shifter for H-shifter cars and paddles for sequential gear cars. Why this option is not present in this game, its literal sequel, God only knows.

because the supposed game designers that made this game haven't played it or the games before it nor they like/play racing games in their daily lives so they don't even know this feature was missing, they missed on dr 2.0 launch too until a gamer told them to add it back again. i am nearly sure the logic is already ported in the code xD
i mean if you don't love your job, and do the least effort please don't do it and let others with love do it.
or even worse they hid it on purpose so they can "add" it later and make it look like they are listening the community to improve the game. you know its all about the "looks" nowadays especially on social media not the substance.

We really need this.

Also, let us set our wheels to 900+ degrees and let the car choice automatically turn the rotation down. Other games/sims can do it.

Assetto Corsa has this feature !

If the car has sequential you can only use sequential !
If the car has H shifter that's what you have to use !

This is done automatically !

Codemasters !
C'Mon you can do this too !
Codemasters previous rally game, Dirt Rally 2.0, did allow this, which makes it all the more amazing that they forgot it for WRC.

Both the h-shift issue and the the above need to be addressed before I spend any money on it.

As far as I know this already works. At least for me it does on a T300.
You have to check Soft lock in the options to get it to work. The Abarth 131 for example does have 1080 DOR in my game while the more modern cars have 540 etc.

IIRC DR2 added this in after release. Many people (myself included) highlighted the fact this important option was missing from DR1. They need to do the same here!

Wow you're correct, thanks heaps! It doesn't apply the soft lock while on the starting line, I was only testing it during this and just assumed the game didn't have it.
