The game has a glow+ HDR is not a good combination, in your video you can see that everything is unnaturally bright, until the eyes hurt. Turn off the post process fx game or in the Engine.ini file. And play with HDR alone.

Yea, you wont see HDR in video unless you have an HDR screen, The picture that shows in that thumb will have a glow because it is blown out, because windows does not take proper hdr screen shots native. That is the middle of africa, on a day such as in the video things will be pretty dang bright. Watch the video on your iphone/android...it will allow you to see the HDR and yes its bright but also very color rich and not dim and under saturated.

One thing with HDR once you have it set proper system wide you dont need to keep fiddling with stuff when the game has correct HDR, you set your nits and everything is good to go. There no eyeball test and do this with gamma or saturate until it looks right, i loaded my reshade graph that shows me the nits real time and will tell you if the HDR is wrong, even tho the settings are wonky to get there the hdr shows 800 max nits and a pure 0 black floor which is correct for lgc1 oled so theres no clipping. SDR in the video may be brighter than your used to as SDR but that is just youtube converting down from HDR as thats the native format of the vid.

Wrong, wrong and who cares.
Yeah, needing a 5090 (not a typo) to play this is not acceptable. Dr2 could be maxed in 4k (native, not upscaled bs) with a 2070 super, maybe even a lesser card than that. Or you could use a 1060 or something with adjusted settings and probably still get better visuals and performance than a 4090 in ea wrc. It's absurd.

I have a 2080, and it runs perfectly. Fix your PC.

I have a 3080 ti, I hear people with 4090's complaining. My PC is fine, it's the game that needs fixing.

Most people complaining have something quirky in their system but think they are IT and have no problems....im on 4090 with 13700k and the game run smooth and looks very natural at 4k native ultra settings with proper HDR. Not saying the game is perfect but its been very enjoyable.

Yup, I think people honestly have some hardware issues. Doesn't make sense how people with much better PCs than me are getting lower frames.

Since the new patch my hdr button is totally greyed out now, I've tried turning hdr off/on but it's disabled totally in game now. Not sure if the patch greyed it out or its because of my custom ini file?

For me HDR still works after the patch.

HDR works fine post patch. Try to force it on in the .ini file, then set that to read only.

I don't think someone with a 4090 claiming it's fine is great evidence. Also, if it's 'something quirky' in their system it should affect other games, since it does not. It's an issue with the game. The same issue exists on consoles too. It is just a very buggy unootimized game, forced to release before it was ready.

Okay lol, my vid card has nothing to do with it being able to run the game fine if you actually read all the threads of 4090 users complaining. Again, is it perfect no, is it an un optimized buggy mess, certainly not.

I have a RTX 2080, and my game runs completely fine. What now? lol

It's unfortunate you require further instructions. But if the game runs fine, the next step is to just play the game. Simple. 😁
