Fortunately, or unfortunately, I dont find the degree of seat movement great enough to get the view I want anyway...so I'll just keep using the dash-view.
Wonder if you have figured it out?
this isn't because of the game. or your wheel. i use a controller and if i change from cockpit to just chase cam it does feel different and i have to readjust mentally and in my driving style.
at the same time i do know what you are saying and i have felt the same for a while but i'm certain its combo of change of perspective (FOV), input delay, graphics settings, and driving style. i always control the car better in cockpit view, and in chase cam i ahve more awareness but i lose a lot of my control and have to adjust my style to brake more, less throttle on turn in etc... my 2 cents.
also i crash a lot more on chase cam cause looking at my car drift looks cool especially 80mph into logs :)
But I may have figured it out. Under the FFb settings I changed the first setting from Device Driver to On and now the issue seems to have resolved and I dont think its placebo either.
I use either dashview or helmet view now depending on the car.
