I played JWRC, and I don't think you ever get to recruit a team member for that series. But I could be wrong. I did play a full season. I don't think the benefactor gives you money for one, and there is never a recruitment day on the calender.

I have not played the other series. I did start a WRC season, and saw I had budget for a teammate though. I'm sure if I played and checked the calendar I could recruit someone, but maybe its bugged.

season 3 WRC 2 has 2 options for contracts
Weekly vehicle budget to 1, 103 000
Weekly Engineers Budget 372 000

Apparently an option when u go look for engineers im guessing, Not sure kinda buggered it by adding +1 to my garage

basically under Team mate in staff it says to visit talent scout on next calendar to hire one

klnda sucks as the first benefactor race requires a team mate but you can enter it solo

The way a teammate works is that you need to buy a 2nd car for them, which will be a duplicate of any of the cars in your garage.
Once you enter a championship, you can choose to add them also. You can then also assign engineers to them.
The reason why you want to do this, is because you increase the odds of your team winning.
This is especially helpful if you decide to skip a stage, to rest up or for other reasons. It ensures you have more than enough points in the championships.

I have duplicated 2 of my cars, so my teammates can do both the WRC and a secondary tournament with me.

That's the question I have. I've wasted so many weeks looking at talent scout only to see there are only engineers, with no way of knowing if I'm missing something or if teammates will be in a future scout on any given week

I did a full JWRC then moved on to WRC2 still no teammates

How can we buy a car for them when we cant even recruit one?

its in season 3 wrc 2 career you will have enough in the budget
Junior Div you cant

Sorry rephrase they introduce team mates in 1st season of WRC 2
You actually have to buy them a car and recruit them off your budget

The teammate is recruited the same as engineers, just tab over for teammates.

Sorry to necro, but this is not an answer to me. What do I care about "my team winning"? My objectives to progress in my career are 1/ satisfy my benefactor's targets, and 2/ finish as high as possible in the driver's championship of the main championship (WRC, WRC2, Junior). There seems to be no reason whatsoever to care about your team's standings in the constructor's championship. Your benefactor has no objectives for it and doesn't care. Winning the driver's title is enough to move up a category. So again, why bother with teammates?
