I'm still getting this post patch update.
I've adjusted the dead zone, I can see the hand brake comes off as well.
But you're right flicking it seems to work. I might need to play some more with the settings
I do have the start assist off, but even if I switch it back on this happens.
i hit Left Alt+Spacebar to get the car going again
though its good to calibrate handbrake as this happens everytime from switching from control pad to racing sim also good to set deadzone of handbrake to 5%
Guessing this could be a hardware fault, but the odd thing is I never had this issue in other games (maybe it's only just started happening).
Also I've noticed that if I have the issue, then I push forward on the handbrake the car gets moving. The odd thing is that it's not actually registering the hbk as engaged on the hud
Pause the game > go to controls menu > you will see your handbrake at Full 100% load
> Press Space Bar to INVERSE
then restart stage and it should be ok
Or just press SPACEBAR at the beginning when u notice your not moving
