You want to focus on the events your benefactor wants you to complete. Typically there are two series they target each year. You will have to ignore many events for classes of cars you don't have.
Some events do have loaners. But you should be focused on one or two cars, and leave the rest alone.
At least, that is the case early on when you don't have resources. I assume if you play enough you can have more cars and be prepared for more events. But early on, you focus on one or two.
It is not necessery to complete all targets of your sponsor. Of course you try to doing so, to have at the end the biggest increase in sponsor's happieness.
But at least you just need to orientate on the sponsor's main-target (like win WRC1/2 Championship).
Everything else that you further earn is not necessery at all.
And about J-/WRC/-1/-2 championship it is split up to 12 sessions.
What also have 12 Sessions? yeah, you right, the year ;)
So every month in the calender contains 1 Main-Target Championship and take 2 weeks.
So in every month you have 2 weeks for hiring people, rest your team, buildup anything or play another sub-target event.
To be honest, i dont know what is confusing there beside of the interface itself.
The interface, the entire thing is stupid, go see what your sponsor wants to be happy, yet doesn't show it in the list of events, so again I have to remember what they want to be happy, Hiring, yeah, can't afford that, I somehow got so broke, that I can't continue, how ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ stupid is that?
Ok.
Manny racing games seems to have this, i also have F1 2017 and insted of only be a racing driver you are also the manager..... just as in this game.
All we want to do is drive like hell. But yeah, it is what it is.
The ingame footage is good at least and the cars feel to handle like real ones, and with a little bit of thinking you learn that callendar pretty quick.
Overly complicated.... if this seems over complicated, then i love to see you build a car on your own, that is just as simple as that callendar.
building a car is not even comparable. i have replaced clutches, alternators, radiators ect. me and my step dad are auto part brokers i deliver auto parts for a living and somtimes do some side jobs. But i just did some rally 2 races thinking it was wrc 2 and just wasted time for nothing the ui for the calendar is just bad
