What is this campaign?
I am clicking and clicking, do this, do that, look there, but nothing actually tells me why I am doing it.

Buy a car! Okay, let me go to the auto show. Which one do I need? I have no idea what class I actually need?! Well, let me take this one. Do you want to buy a second car for your team colleague? What? I have another driver in my team? Now do I need it or not? Please explain anything! NO! But guess what, you were at the auto show and now race week one is over!

And it goes on like this for minutes before I even have the chance to sit behind the wheel! What do I need to start properly? Which event do I have to do? The one the sponsor tells me to? Oh, I can't do this one, because it is in week three. I have no idea what I am doing.

I don't like games that tell me 100% what I have to do. But at least tell me if I do something probably wrong I cannot revert. This is absolutely not user friendly, at all.

they follow the same format as wrc from KT its just that the user interface is like a deck of cards. i'm not one to pick about stuff like that but its a mess.

you start out and you have to pick a day or event to participate in for the week. those will give you rewards but once you select that it takes away the options of doing the others for that week, you can continue doing that per week or just go straight to the first rally.

each month is a rally that you can participate in. you can go directly for a rally or you can participate in an event that will give you money or give your team a boost etc. its a balancing act of what you want to do. mind you i only spent ten mins or so with it cause i didnt have the patients to go through it at the moment. its more convoluted than it needs to be but it is what it is..

Also op.. before going to the garage and buying a car you can look ahead to see your events. There are multiple events that use different cars. Some you might like and some you may not.

So for instance you can rally in wrc 1 cars and also buy a WRX 2 and an s2000 car to participate in said events during the upcoming weeks.

Just scroll through and you'll see which each event gives you. Some give you credits for your team, some give you an plus one car slot in your garage for future rallies and some you can just use to rest your team. Like I said it's a balancing act for how you want to get through your career.

Also keep in mind that there is risk reward with how your benefactors (owners) will reward you and how that ties into how well you do.

All in all you don't have to look that deep into it as it's not a big deal. You can just keep on going.

Thanks, especially your last two sentences gives a bit hope to get used to it.

So far it felt very messy and like the game could punish me for any choice I make, so I didn't really want to make one, or I always had the feeling it was wrong.

I am definitely not used to WRC titles and their campaign. I have some thousand hours in the dirt rally games, but never really touched WRC games. I have time today to sink some hours in, I guess I'll work something out.

What about the second driver in my team the game asked me to buy a car for? Do or don't or will this actively bump into me when progressing?
The career mode is absolute boring and nonsense. It has nothing to do with rallying. Its just a clicking game.
Also that every interaction you made in the calendar will steal you 1 week. What a crap... :steamfacepalm:

I know that the mode is all about "choosing your path" which is fine, (I'm up to week 30 in my first season atm, no problems so far), but I think it would have been a good idea if they offered an "auto select or a recommended option", maybe that option would just be available for the first season, just to get your feet wet so to speak.

The car expo/not knowing what you needed for the events ahead is a legit issue.
Can't leave the expo to check, nor open the calender while at the car expo.
That would solve the issues. Being able to check what cars you can get, and then being able to pick what you want for the nearest events.

It's a little bit short sighted. Same with going to an expo not automatically counting as a rest week to your crew. Going to an expo makes my engineers more tired? Kinda dumb.

Solution would also be to only lock out the week AFTER you make the choice of car.
