I feel for you with the rally addict part, dirt3 / dirt rally 1 with a controller was my launching pad for my sim racing addiction in general. maybe with enough outcry they will fix it but i doubt it
they've obviously never played, or looked at other sims and looked in the settings to at least try to bring some of those standard features into their game.

As it seems allot of sims will be based on UE into the future. Which should help the issues get more attention and focus from epic.
Oh the bright side of things, if a real rally driver like Louise Cook can race with "improper" triple screen support without complaining, I think most of us can do that too.

yeah its all well and good if you are okay with hood cam but most of us dont want to play in hood cam
It's quite pathetic... especially when you have games like Project Cars that have some of the best options when it comes to triple screen and a ton of other PC features (and great telemetry!) yet it's not classified as a "simulator".. meanwhile...

Louise was chasing a world record ghost on that previous video by the way. You say "most of us dont play in hood cam". You would be surprised by the ammount of people that prefer that camera.
But of course EA shouldn't advertise triples support on the game's page if they don't have it in the game. It's a lie indeed.
- u can see front corners of the car unrealistically well -> can get tightest lines in corners without hitting stuff
- A-pillar (left pillar in LHD, right pillar in RHD) doesn't come into play and block some of visibility when getting sideways -> and getting extra sideways can be very beneficial timewise in Dirt Rally 2.0
- u get rid of rain and moving wipers in rain, no blocked visibility due to fact wiper can't reach every spot on windshield, in rain visibility out from drivers door window is very limited
Solberg's (Petter+Oliver) preferred 3rd person camera in DR2.0 to see movement of the rear of the car since without motion rig u can't feel rotation speed (I guess seeing it happen helps). Of course 3rd person is located very high up giving also extra visibility to ahead and to sides.
And VR gives crazy good depth perception also giving an edge compared to a flat screen (even to triples with proper adjustments). Even watching VR stream of Dirt Rally 2.0 gameplay I can see the difference, like corners look so less severe (steep) than they appear on my 32:9 superultrawide display. Some VR players still use bonnet view to get an extra edge (for Time Trial etc) and see front corners better in very narrow stages like Argentina, Greece, New Zealand partially is very slow&narrow.
If you use anything but cockpit it's cheating :)
