What ??? :) Hmmm Every Team on Real Life Rally are building their own cars... I know because all Small Rally Teams that i have seen with my own eyes are using Stock Cars like Peugeot 206, Fabia, Ibiza,C2 etch etch ... take everything out fully naked and build their Own Car. Unless if they buy a used alredy Build by other Team a car and make some changes .

I guess u think that we gone desighn a new car ? or something like NFS Big wings ,Nos etch etch ? No way this will happen on WRC official rally game thats Stupid.

That is my point: we want to drive the cars from the real rally teams build in real life.
I kinda agree... Whenever I hear game devs promote these features: "build your own team", "level up your engineers", build your own rally car"... I always ask... but why?! The vast majority of fans want to drive the real thing and not be bothered by micro-managing a rally team. Next they'll be promoting a way to level up your driver's charisma so as to give better answers to reporters in interviews.
Its something different. And adds a dimension to the game that may prove useful longer term. Think of the adage with "Goose and Gander" in it.
If ( and a big If ) its done right a player may even learn about setting up a vehicle and why components are where they are, for example and the importance of suspensions etc and not rely on copy pasting some else s setups and forgetting about them.

Not every one would want to do it and they dont have to ( Goose/ Gander).

And the big negative side that could ( note could and not will ) be implemented is to gain a certain part you have to complete x miles or set a certain time in a certain car..... You can either fulfill conditions or purchase a "skip" ..... Yup an avenue for Mtx.
Seriously doubt there will be Pay to win components as the Devs have mentioned that No OP builds will be possible.

However If ( another big one) this game turns out to be a yearly cycle - then spending too much time and effort on tinkering with a car will be ( imho) wasted..
I'm all about this feature, HOWEVER!!, I feel that's the part of the game that will feature micro-transactions.

If they have a MP event where you can use your own built car and race competitively then I'm all for it as long as it's not p2w
I'm looking forward to this mode. I just hope it's implemented well. I enjoyed WRC Generations career mode, I hope it's kinda like that with the ability to build the car.
If they have fiction cars to build and also pay to win rally cars ... OMG that would be a disaster.

Worse of all: this is a WRC licensing game, they can use any cars that exists in WRC history.

The feature is better suit to Dirt Rally.
I would disagree. Two of my all time favorite racing games are Sega GT 2000 and San Fransisco Rush: 2049

The way you could "build" a car in either of those games is something that was lost with the transition from the PS2/Xbox Era to the PS3/Xbox360 Era. The last game I remember having a similar system was by the name of "Supercar Street Challenge". An honorable mention to an Xbox exclusive called "Apex" as well.

I've yearned for that experience to be recreated well and I am cautiously optimistic about this one. Codemasters has done us well in the past.
I agree with GATTACA, WRC MANAGER should be a separate game and not 1/2 of a driving sim(game). It is mainly why I gave up WRC generations and came back to DR2.
Maybe these imaginary cars allows more significant body+part damage model to be used in them.
I'm all for it if real manufacturers are such sissypants to not allow it for some reason when damaging cars more is not even beneficial in any way, more money goes to repairs and u won't win any races by crashing more (not a demolition derby game).

Just add fwd and rwd build options too. Oldschool looking chassies etc with crazy looking aero options (like Gr B era style causing massive drag too so u need lots of power to push forward)

i love the idea.. its all about how they implement it though. i'm hoping they leave MX out of it as i can see building a car being the aspect of the game they try and seep it in
well I do, finaly something different

I played Apex (or Racing Evoluzione, as it was called here) and the building part was seriously lacking there. Maybe that's the reason I don't really care about it in WRC.
It's always awesome when people make assumptions about what people do or don't want, when they're really just expressing their own opinion. Meanwhile, the feature's here because people who did market research said it had to be there.

Ooh, I'll play. Fans want a simulator and not whatever this looks like. It's been 20 years, why haven't rally games even approached RBR's physics or attrition modelling in that time. I mean, that's what the fans say. Fans want handling on par with Assetto Corsa, a damage and wear model on par with RBR, and real stages like Mobil 1 Rally had. That's what all the fans are saying, and is totally not just my opinion.
