Remove lid of the shifter, disconnect cable and then just put it back together., this can clear static electricity build-up.
Maybe re-calibrate shifter in fanatec software and it can work a while without any issues.
If u have this happening all the time and even no gear found then something more broken maybe in shifter. If having warranty left send it for repairs.
I have had similar issues, they are very random, shifter can be fine for 500-1000 shifts and then wrong gear detected out of nowhere. Absolute worst moment was like 5 wrong gear detection within 100 shifts or so but that was 2.5years ago and nothing like that recently.
Same here.
I tried recalibration with Fanatec drivers, but as soon as I start WRC,it wreck every calibration done.
Same. It works fine until WRC loads. Then the fanatec software shows reverse in place of 1st. I can re-calibrate, use it in iRacing just fine, open WRC, and it's broken again.
same here.
in DR2 it works with no problems.
That's a really strange behavior...
What the hell this game is doing with the controller?
If I calibrate my shifter on Fanatec Control panel,I can use it with every game I own,it'll work perfectly.
But the fun part is...if I calibrate it while Wrc is running...will it be calibrated on the other games?
