This game is very fun to play, it's a short-ish game but it has a lot to it, let's dive in.

Combination of of classic survival horror with modern mechanics and also in 1st person.
Besides the main-game there is also Horde and Dungeons which is a very nice addition, i unlocked some nice stuff for the main game in Horde mode.

The graphics, while retro-inspired, are detailed and effective in conveying the game's ominous tone.
Once u enter a room hear eery music very well applied.

Nightmare of Decay often weaves a gripping and intricate story that keeps players engaged. The lore and narrative details add layers to the gameplay, it's nothing complex or mystic deep, it's a nightmare after all.

Very entertaining game with references to a lot of games, like Blood, Resident Evil, Silent Hill , CLive Barker's Undying and probably a few more i forget to mention. Great game , recommended!

The game's really stingy with ammo, and the enemies are very spongy. One also can't just run past most enemies as in basically every other survival horror game. As a result you'll be constantly running low on ammo. Prepare to reload often if your accuracy is below 90%.

Also it uses this weird critical hit system in which every weapon has a critical hit chance like in a roleplaying game. I wonder if aiming at heads is even meaningful here. I did all the same just to be on the safer side of things.

Luckily it's very short, it'll take you less than two hours to finish and that if you take things slow like I did.

Verdict: stay the hell away from this nightmare of a game.
