won't download

Hey I got this game as well as a few others from fanatical and it just refuses to download! Is this something anybody else is having difficulty with?

But the games is already shown in the Library of your steam client?
If not then the game wasn't unlocked and you probably have to contact fanatical.

If the game is shown in the Library but the download doesn't start, I suggest you have a look if other games can be downloaded. Sometimes it happens that a download server of a certain region is temporarily down. You can then either wait or change the Download region (Steam/settings/download/download region) in the steam client and restart the client. Then steam tries to down from the new download region.

Thanks for your reply guys, it's something to do with a bdant.cab file and it says disk write error? But bakhtosh I will try what you said. Thankyou.

Huh... "disk write error" sounds more like the file can't be written. I guess you've already checked if the drive is full? Sometimes antivirus tools misjudge certain files as malware and block the write process. So it might be a good idea to add the exe files of the steam installation folder (steam.exe, streaming_client.exe, ...) to the exception list of your antivirus tool.

Hey bakhtosh, what I ended up doing was changing the download region which worked! No idea why! Worth remembering in future!

You're welcome, strange thing was my next download didn't work until I changed the region back. I've not had this problem before. Blessings.
