resourses disappearing from chests bug

i have had several stacks of things just disappear from chests, I have noticed different flowers and coal gone from large wooden chests. I am not sure about other things or other types of chests.

Is this consistent or one time?

it has happened several times (different flowers - only once for coal) mostly the flowers from pine area sometimes the ones from the gloom area, never the ones from the town. I also lost 7 starred mackerel and i think three regular ones, not sure if they were in the large wooden chest or the iron chest
