Why does it keep crashing?
Pre-ordered $80... and it's virtually unplayable.

After the patch, my game keeps loading half way and then crashing. I've already verified the file integrity and made sure all of my drivers are up to date. I'm not sure what else I can do to play at this point.

Someone send help.

No one can help you because there is no universal solution, on Reddit, the EA forum and elsewhere they write the same thing. The game crashes for a huge number of people, most often it is a dxgi_error_device_hung error; ignore some silly advices like check your computer or update your drivers etc - the problem is with the game, specifically with the shaders and hair physics.

Here, one gentleman has described exactly what the problem is:

At least it's not a me problem this time. I guess we'll just wait and see.

This is the advice I was given by EA support and now it loads:
Please share the Update Graphics Drivers: Make sure your graphics drivers are up to date. Sometimes, outdated drivers can cause issues with game launches1.

Verify Game Files: In Steam, right-click on Dragon Age: The Veilguard, select "Properties," go to the "Local Files" tab, and click "Verify Integrity of Game Files."

Delete Shader Cache: Some players have found success by deleting the contents of the Shader Cache folder. You can find this folder in the game's installation directory3. Just make sure to back it up first.

Run as Administrator: Right-click on the game executable and select "Run as Administrator."

Disable Fullscreen: Try disabling fullscreen mode in the game settings or via Steam launch options.

Reinstall the Game: If none of the above steps work, try uninstalling and reinstalling the game.

Try disabling strand hair in the game settings.

I can't play at all since the last update, DXGI ERROR NOT CURRENTLY AVAILABLE
I tried everything, updating driver, verifying files, reinstall and nothing works at all.
