Compiling Shaders - Painfully Slow
Is anyone experiencing this issue? Every time I open the game it compiles shaders. Now it starts over at 1% and is so slow I end up quitting out because it won't progress.

My graphics driver is updated. I run GTX3070 and although it isn't the recommended, I have had no issues with the game until recently. I have also restarted PC, verified files and reinstalled Nvidia.

Looking for help. I'd like to finish the game but can't do it if it never compiles shaders. And why does it do it every time I boot?

Thanks in advance. :luv:

I had the same issue.

Delete the shaders file from the game file and reboot. Boots up instantly for me now.

So, right click on the game in the menu, select manage, browse local files and delete shaders.

Fingers crossed that sorts your issue, good luck.

I had shaders recompile after they released the separate character creator app, because that patch caused Windows 11 Security to block file access from the game for some reason, so I had to add a new exclusion for the game. Not sure if that's related to what you experience, but you can check if nothing else helps.

I just need you to know you're my hero! This worked and I had no load. I hope your blankets are warm, your pillow cold when you need, and your gifts many!

Shader compilation is CPU bound more than GPu, soo.
