Compiling shaders (for the first time)
How long does this normally take? Will it take this long every time? It is cooking my computer and it takes a terribly long time.

For me it was longish only the first time, and after updating my graphics drivers. After shaders are compiled once, it just "verifies' them on subsequent launches, which is pretty quick.

first time usually very long, most time after that very fast. Except when there is a large patch then again very long. Main reason i stop playing the game its a nice game but ,when i want to play is now,,not half hour or hour later. Reason why i can never recomend this game to my friends.

depends on the amount of cores you have and how old is ur cpu, if ur intel 14900k u prolly have the fastest compile time compared to ryzen 7600. altho if ur intel ur gona be hovering at 100degrees c probably.

lost interest in the game for that reason. before patch is was great first time was the only time it took a long time, now every single time i want to play it does its collection taking forever. so just deleted the game and never played it again.

As memory served it took around 15 minutes for me. Probably my own fault though as I had apps working in the background. I'd strongly urge shutting down all unnecessary background processes when doing the compile.

It took me 30 minutes first time. But luckily no more than 5 minutes now. It was scary at first.
