DIRECTX Function errors since last patch

I have crashed in game so many times since the last patch! I keep getting the EXACT same error message and my husband (who works on pc's has checked every driver-installed/reinstalled drivers/hardware and DirectX current versions. I also play other games so I KNOW it is NOT my pc/video card/drivers/DirectX).

Error message states:

DirectX function "GetDeviceRemovedRemovedReason" failed with DXI_ERROR_DEVICE_REMOVED ("The video card has physically removed from the system, or a driver upgrade for the video card has occured."). GPU: NVIDIA GEFORCE RTX 4070"Driver 56603. This error is usually caused by the graphic driver crashing; try installing the latest drivers. GPUBreadcrumbs:

Dragon Age Veilguard is the only game this occurs with!

Yes. Downgrade drivers, upgrade drivers, under-clock CPU, under-clock GPU. Removed HID gaming controller device (Razer) - ensure no controllers installed, Clear all shadier cache. In steam and in game files. Re-Check all files. Sometimes after all that i can get 1 hour, sometimes i cannot get 5 mins. FIX the game! something in THE code and config (and not just Intel vs AMD vs Nvidia) breaks the game - randomly, For at least 20% of us :(

And as above I agree pissing around with everything above (mostly prior to this game I have not had to) all other game bar this one 100% work.

OH i know the problem - I unplugged my GPU and DX12 card mid game- must be it - slaps head /s

It happens not just since the last Patch.
For me it has this issue since release , i can play for about an hour and than boom Direct x error "Device removed" bla bla .
And no fix that is around helps , also this is a complete new System .

For Nvidia GPU :
- Click to reinstall the last driver in (Nvidia/GeForceExperience)
- Select Custom installation
- Check Clean Installation

I have no more problem since...

Same problem, almost crash 6 times today in a row on 2 hours. Get me mad. No error showed, just crash to desktop. Tried everything, uninstall the game next step if it goes like this further. Rtx4080, i9 all clean all update don't know really

Getting same errors already listed here, completely out of the blue. I've been playing the game since launch just fine, started getting a few crashes here and there the last two days, and now today I can't seem to get more than ten minutes at a time. None of the provided suggestions to fix things have worked... So I guess I'm taking a break until the next patch. :( Very, extremely, tremendously bummed!!!! I'm having so much fun playing, Bioware! LET ME INNNN! :-D

Just had the game crash with this error. I hope they get this fixed.

Same here. Twice now, one crash yesterday and another today. Been playing since release with no issue till now.

Same here. I bought a new 4070 on the same day as the patch came out and thought it was broken, but if others have the same problem, it's not my graphics card. Played the game just fine before. Now it crashes while I'm in the main menu sometimes.

I deinstalled and clean installed the latest driver and it seems that solved my problem...at least it seems better. Had no error/crash since the clean install (5hrs played since then).
