Depending on how well ME does at launch, it will probably determine if EA shutters them or not. Basically the make or break point for Bioware.
I think breaking the 70% review level will end this game chances of success once and for all.
We now have sales data for both DAI and DAV and it looks as if DAV sold 50% of what DAI has... But of course, it is still early days for the release. But saying that, DAV is no longer listed in the top 10 sales on Steam, meaning it isn't selling as fast as it did.
I am pretty convinced at this point that DAV has been a commercial failure for Bioware. Combined that with the previous flops of Anthem and MEA and we're looking at a pretty significant and consistent series of failures for both Bioware and EA.
Question now what will EA do? Tolerate the flop and learn in time for ME4 or double down and take yet another hit. I don't think this flop can be so easily ignored.
Oh this train wreck has been GLORIOUS to watch.
That would be Mass Effect.
