PRIMERS are: Sunder (make enemies vulnerable to any type of dmg), Overwhelmed (enemy takes more stagger), Weakened (enemies do less damage).
The detonators don't have any names, they are simply symbolized by a little explosion.
So a PLUS sign is a PRIMER, a LITTLE EXPLOSION emoji (like a little sun) is a DETONATOR.
WHEN you are already in combat and you use a PRIMER of your own and you hold open the Companion skill selection screen, ANY possible DETONATIONS they have to your primer will be HIGHLIGHTED in bright orange glowing borders.
Even without opening the tactical screen, before using any of their skills the exact PRIMER they have will be showing the sign next to it. Same for mid combat after using your PRIMER, if they have any DETONATOR to your primer, when you simply hold the skill buttom the little skill besides their portraits will be pointing out the combo.
Be aware that some skills that DETONATE your main character PRIMERS, such as Harding's detonator for OVERWHELMED can make the enemy permanently overwhelmed for getting more stagger the whole fight (depending on the path you choose for her skill), BUT that will prevent you from getting any other detonations from the primer OVERWHELMED for the rest of the fight, which usually is not a very good trade off for boss fights, specially in the case of Overwhelmed because their stamina is way too high to make any difference.
