Maybe that is what your looking for?
Ha well... next playthrough I won't even bother ^_^
My first try at romance as a male mage was Sera. It didn't really end well lol
You actually had to get to know the character before you realize "which way they swing" which is good story telling I think.
I'm also not a huge fan of companions shacking up together because it makes me feel like my character is an impostor. For eg. Lucanis and Neve were definitely flirting, which I found offputting and Taash and Harding were too, before I committed to Lucanis, so had I gone for one of them, it would also have felt off,
It's almost like they didn't have romances in the game and just added them because of BG3 or something, although why they would do that when DA is famous for the romances idk.
Even Assassin's Creed Valhalla had better options than DA:Veilguard.
True. It's weird. I was flirting with everyone few times and still nothing, and with Taash it's literally from one flirt to full blown relationship, I was pikachu face when I saw that.
That particular scene didn't trigger for me till after Weisshaupt and at that point I had flirted with Taash 3 or 4 times.
First few times they acted awkward and laughed it off, and then on that particular occasion they were asking me if I'm serious in a very direct manner. So I don't share the experience you guys are reporting, especially the rapey part since my Rook had been initiating several times.
Then again, on this play through I haven't flirted with anyone else. Is it not valid for Taash to ask Rook if they are serious if you had Rook flirting with others as well?
Edit: my Rook is also a beefcake qunari, maybe that contributes to the difference in the feeling. It's not the kind of thing I'd be into in real life, but qunari Rook is not me.
You shouldn't be in a relationship with someone who thought your people's water supply being blighted and your people attacked, defenceless is the same as the organisation the magisters clearly looked the other way on who when a situation came up, thought their empire was more important (so magister investment clearly paid off). The Shadow Dragons thinking the magisters weren't just as susceptible to the point they were asking another city pay the price for what, in universe without plot armor, was trading one group of Evanuris sellouts for another.
Thats so true. I was heartbroken, because Lucanis never show Interest in my Rook, but constantly asked Neve how she feels or Harding how she is doing. The Scene where Rook and him get into a relationship feels extrem weird and out of place, because he never showed Interest in Rook in any way. Im so dissapointed -.-
Lucanis has a weird character writing. If you save the wrong town, you get locked out of his romance because he doesn’t have time for you but he has time for Neve? This is just totally weird. I saved both towns to see how both react and one of the first things he asks, how is Neve? I have the feeling they don’t wanted him as romance option for Rook. This would explain a lot and how terrible his romance is (doesn’t help they fired his original writer)
I don't feel any connections with these shallow companions. Happy for those that asre happy with it, but i prefer playing the old DA games again then struggle further in a brand new game were i feel not the main person that begs for romantic answers that i hardly get.
