What do the creators of the previous DA games think about The Veilguard?
A friend of mine brought up an interesting topic about the new Dragon Age game.
I obviously don't remember all the things he said word-to-word, but he meant something like this:
-----
We have to realize is that most of the people who worked on the previous Dragon Age games are no longer working at Bioware and they're not working on the new game. There are obviously mixed reactions about the two trailers so far, especially the gameplay trailer, both OG players and people who never played it have a good or bad reaction to it, and the situation is a huge mess right now. But I wander...
What do the creators of the previous three games - Origins, II, and Inquisiton - think about where The Veiguard is heading, a few months before its release?
Do the like what they see and they're having good feelings about what their successors are creating with The Veilguard?
Or they don't like the direction of a sequel that comes a decade after their game and feels like, too different and feels very far from the previous games?
-----
Interesting theory. I think if the devs of the previous games like this new one so far, I don't think we've got much to worry about.
But... What if they don't like what they see so far? Should we be cautious about The Veilguard and wait for reviews from people who have actually pleayed the previous DA games and know a lot about DA lore?
I know, it's pretty early to ask questions like this right now, the roadmap is still long for The Veilguard and it might hold some interesting things for us (which I'm curious about), but I thought I'll share my friend's thoughts and I'm curious about people's opinions.

What do you think?

(Sorry for any typos, I'm Hungarian and my English language knowledge is nowhere near perfect.)

I've read about it. Tho, he's one person. I'm curious about the opinion of other previous developers too.
But still, thank you for sharing. That's one up for The Veilguard. Which is good.

David Gaider is woke and uses pronouns, he has just as much mental health issues as the new Dev, thus opinion invalid.
And he was also the lead writer for the three Dragon Age games before The Veilguard. If his opinion is invalid, I would be very interested whose opinion would be valid.

Sheryl Chee, who wrote Leliana, Wynne, Dog, Cullen, Oghren, Sigrun, Velanna, Isabela, Blackwall and some quests (Broken Circle, Magi Origins, The Urn of Sacred Ashes) still works for Bioware and wrote for this game. She hasn't commented on it as far as I know.

Mary Kirby, who wrote large sections of the Chant of Light and has written for all the previous games also worked on this one as well. No comments though (although I haven't searched for any).

Mark Darrah worked as a consultant and has praised the new game.

Here's a list of writers for the DA franchise: https://dragonage.fandom.com/wiki/Dragon_Age/Credits

There are a quite a few names that have worked on multiple games, including this one.

Most of the writers of this game worked on the other DA games.

The only one (I think?) that didn't work on them was the writer of Javik and Garrus from ME3. Which is an amazing track record and not exactly what I would call 'an outsider'.

I think the dude who decided that Inquisition should be about faith is personally writing a character too.

obviously some uneducated muscle bound bald mouth breathing knuckledragger racist xenophobe who throws around words like woke and libtard because he's full of anger, bitterness and hatred... everyone knows they're the goto people for honest, reasoned, deep, well developed and thought provoking opinions.
