Deluxe edition useless?
Just saw what the deluxe editions gives and it's only cosmetics, no season pass/future story DLC for 20$ more... What? :bf22_skull:

Yeah, that's why I skipped the delxue edition. Normally I buy deluxes when they include some extra quests or season pass for upcoming DLCs and such but this is just waste of money. Cosmetics don't look that good anyways. They look like copy paste of eachother.

We've seen that from a lot of games in the past. Just buy the normal version and you're done, except if you care to spend money for cosmetics.
Ill just buy deluxe if someone puts pre-orders online for the price of the standard edition.

No one said that, you just made that up. What I was saying is that for 20$ there could have been an "extension" like Tresspasser DLC in the future... Who cares about cosmetics in solo? Modded armors will look better anyway.

So you think selling a story in parts is a good thing ? That you should pay more to get the true ending of a game ?

DLC will come nevertheless. Some people like paying upfront for a cheaper price to access them later time. No one is okay with extra story being sold but it is the reality. That's why I also skipped delxue because it was worthless.

It depends, if it's a story that should've been in the base game and is important to understand the main game plot then no. But if it's a side story made from scratch about let's say our grey warden and what's happening over there for him, then yes. The more we get out of this the better, Bioware is a dying studio afterall.

Same with the Legacy DLC in DA2 introducing Corypheus.
Bioware has a terrible habit of scattering plot points all over, and casual fans easily miss so much content or context.
BioWare does have a shody past when it comes to DLC that should have been in the main games. Legacy DLC for DA2, Trespasser for DA3, Shadowbroker and Arrival for ME2, From The Ashes, Leviathan, and Citadel for ME3. I'm probably even forgetting some here.

The Deluxe edition outfits don't look appealing enough for me to consider.
But the Preorder Blood set is nice. And can get that with the normal version.

Default edition is the way to go, cosmetics will probably be modded into the game (I hope the game is mod friendly)

I mean it's not much worse than BG3 or any other game. Just a bunch of cosmetical stuff that might spice companion looks in game, I've seen much worse. Let's compare against a recent game that got a lot of appraisal from dudebros.

Yeah, again just cosmetic stuff. Just get the standard edition if you are not interested in cosmetics or wait for a price drop but I think cosmetic stuff is better than cutting an entire mission like in the Original Dragon Age Collector's Edition (Prisioner of Stone which gave you Shale, one of the best companions of the game).

It seems like the Deluxe does not even include the soundtrack or artbook as well?
Scarla8888 Aug 15, 2024 @ 12:57pm
Yep unless you love the cosmetics not worth the extra $20. Though they are trying to sell a physical version without a copy of the game for an extra $150 lol

I felt the same way. Pre-ordered standard edition. If I like the game, I always can buy the cosmetics later.
It is useless, only skins, and some weapon sets.

I appreciate that they are only cosmetics. Saves me money. Differs from their old games that had a very obvious "pay to cheat" aspect to them.
