Veil Jumpers = don't know much about them. Wouldn't mind reading more.
Shadow Dragons = We're running around an empire full of slaves, so this seems like an easy pick.
Lords of Fortune = don't know much about them. Wouldn't mind reading more.
Mourn Watch = actually started reading Tevinter Nights and there's a fun short story about the Mourn Watch. I don't think something so niche needs two characters (one of your companions is from there).
Crows = snooze. It just screams DA:O's original love of Game of Thrones.
Won't make a decision until I see how background shapes gameplay -- there may be specific abilities or powers that tip the scales for me. Like giving Warriors the templar specialization in DA:I was a gamechanger for closing down rift spawns with a dispel. If any faction unlocks something super useful, that's where I'll go.

I would like to play veilguard, I just have to see how well they work for a rouge with bow and arrows. If it suits a mage better or if I feel like it works for everyone.
Shadow Dragons sound really cool.
But I really would need to find out more about each faction.
Well...
Thinking back to Dragon Age Inquisiton your character got a few extra options in certain conversations and I'm guessing that it is something like that.
Honestly it has been such a long time since I played DAI that I don't remember how much your characters background influenced the game but I'm guessing that it is more of a flavor or something special every now and then.
Will be interesting to see how it turns out.
Wonder how much of a difference it will make in Veilguard if you are veil jumper or if you choose to go with the necromancers. Time will tell.
