Veilguard Demo sudden crash

So I downloaded the demo version, you know for character creation, but when I launch the demo it is loading very strangely and after that it crashes all of the sudden. Keep in mind that my PC is powerful and it would be impossible to be the rootcause of this issue. Does anybody else had this issue before??? For this specific reason I am scared to buy the game, I would not want to waste 60€ for nothing :) (I want to reunite my Inky with egghead so badly)

Try validating the files, and make sure your system requirements are enough to run it.
I can barley run the game myself and am buying a whole new system just to play it.

How do I validate the files? I looked more closely, pardon I have Nvidia GTX 780, and the game requires minium of GTX 970. 🥹 So I'll need to buy a new GPU? Intel seems fine considering it's Core i7-4770

To validate Steam game files, open your Steam library, right-click on the game you want to check, select "Properties", then navigate to the "Local Files" tab and click "Verify integrity of game files" - this will scan the game files and replace any corrupted or missing ones with fresh downloads from Steam's servers.

I don't think the GTX 780 is going to cut it, my GTX 1080 and I7 4790k struggled on low.
I couldn't enjoy the game at all, hence why I'm building a new PC. You can try a GPU upgrade, but in general both of our computers are similar and extremely out of date now.

Thank you for your help, I appreciate it a lot. I didn't play any games for approximately 10 years, and because Veilguard came out I said to restart Inquisition to prepare myself for DAV. Apparently a lot changed in this years and unfortunately also the requirements. 🥹
Do you have any recommendations for the system/ PC?
I'm so sorry that I trouble you, hope you understand my frustration. 😅

I'd try making something close to the recommended specs on the store page.
If you are only interested in playing Veilguard, you could always just try a console.

Or you could look into Geforce Now or other streaming services for gaming.
I've been looking into trying them until my new pc is complete to play this.
