From what i saw from the story I do not think I would appreciate it, seems like propaganda mixed with bad fanfiction.
As for gameplay it is mid at most, not the worst I have seen but, far from the best, still not a game I would consider a Dragon Age game, Bioware probably just wanted to boost sales trying to tap an existing fanbase while forgetting that fans usually don't tolerate retcons.
That being said if Bioware did not call this game Dragon Age I believe it would have been less mocked and maybe a little more well received, it still would not save them in sales numbers but they would have sold more and have less backlash (maybe saved them a lot in marketing and whatever they paid the journos to give this a high score).
That being said I still think we will be getting Mass Effect 5 just hope they learned the lesson with this game and the previous Mass Effect because if not that will be another boycot.
The lesson here is know your fanbase.
Sorry to say with the current state of Bioware all signs point to no, most of my play group refunded this and the one that did not was because it was a game pass.
You can say it was just 16 sales but i wonder how many times did something like this happened with this game. I guess if Bioware closes after Mass Effect I will be right again, a pity.
I bought it, and I am enjoying it.
I was at a party last night, and had a conversation with a couple who love these games (and were waiting to upgrade their system so they could play it). Dragon Age has been around for a long time now, and there are a lot of loyal fans out there.
You cannot change that fact.
Glad you enjoyed it, can't say the same for many others. Not sure those that enjoyed it are enough to save Bioware in the end.
Indeed and now we find a lot of PS5 players trying out the game and being quite pleased and surprised at the negative reaction. Negative mob mentality is a real thing.
I'll bite - what about it is propaganda?
I prefer to not get my opinions from youtubers of all people personally. I have played the game, but I'm trying to understand what propaganda is being pushed???
If you're making the claim, I'm fairly certain the burden of proof falls on you, so would you please tell me what you consider propaganda? What is the character creator pushing of all things???
A culture warrior who has never played the game, sent here by some bigot on YouTube.
... or so it seems to me.
Nah more like just leaving a post here so if/when Bioware gets shut down I can add a plus 1 to the number of times I was right when a company screwed up, it's been growing quite a lot since 2012.
Yeah they really did some bad stuff, simply trying to appeal to a wider audience is so awful!
God forbid anyone except straight white dudes get to enjoy Dragon Age.
Killed choice carry over which was the main feature fans invested into over 3 games, so as a fan myself and among others i know as well, haven't touched this disaster.

One bad trailer doesn't mean anything. I hated that trailer as well.
They turned it around completely and released a banger.
Just ask microsoft when they screwed up during the E3 for xbox one how the sales went.
