I don't see how that is the case - I played the opening of the game. Solas runs off on his own, doesn't explain his plans, the veil opens up demons pour out people die left and right - talking to him was failing what other choice did they have wait to see what happened when it concluded?

He literally just assumed he couldn't be stopped. It's like someone starting a chemical fire - and people with no knowledge of what exactly was burning try to put it out with water and it makes it worse - who is to blame?

Solas mainly, given the context of the plot solas did everything out of emotion.

People are just playing the blame game. I don't give it much thought. Regardless, your character's actions did lead to those old Elven mages getting out of their prison. It's easier to blame the person who's present than Solas who isn't anywhere that others can reach.

Solas deflects conversation and responsibility the entire game. He knows it's his fault but he thinks he's wiser than anyone alive and tries to force his will on the characters. Even until the last second of the ending if you take that ending.

I find it interesting the OP yells this out like it was the only option. Ya if you buy in to Solas's
view that if Rook didn't get involved ppl would have died yes but the God's would be in a more permanent prison( best of 2 evils ) then ya Rooks fault. But there is at least 2 other options so why get bent out of shape by this 1. Just pick a diff option that floats you RP boat and move on in the game.
