Terminology >=(
Personal Pet-Peeve... when Developers desperately try to be Different so they change familiar terminology to there own personal take. Errrr!!!

So... with that said :).

Range Weapon: Does this Include Staves? (i.e. Ring: +x% Range Attack Damage)

Barrier: Is this Armour?

Bleeding: Can this be caused with Magic. (i.e., Ring which causes Bleeding Damage Applied, but I'm using Magic (primarily my Staff))

x% Shock Damage (Or any other Element): i.e., Ring which does additional damage, but does it require you to use Said Magic (i.e., Shock Spell)?

+x% Shocking Weapon Duration: What exactly does this Mean/Do?

Blast: (i.e. +x% Blast Ability Damage) What is considered as 'Blast'?

Strike: (i.e. +x% Strike Ability Damage) What is considered as 'Strike'?

Projectile: (i.e. +x% Projectile Ability Damage) What is considered as 'Projectile'?

Also... feel free to point me in the right direction to find these answers for myself.

Advanced Thanx

"Strike", "Projectile"... look carefully at your ability web. Individual skills are labeled with the categories that they belong to.

Shocked is a status effect among many others; duration bonuses make those status effects last longer.

Bonuses to elemental damage only affect damage done with that element. It won't do anything if you're only doing damage of a different type.

yeah the terminology is quite odd ... but some do make sense and have been around at least since DAI

That said:

Range weapon: yes also staffs, as many skill nodes of the mage class have + range damage sills

Barier: not really ... its a magical armor ... in DAI you (the player) could cast a spell on yourself and get a magical armor. They removed that in DAV because ... reasons, i guess

Bleeding: could be, however if you look closely at the skills of davrin it often states that they cause bleeding, so unless it is otherwise stated your skill does not cause bleeding

Shock damage: yes it requires you to use that specific spell ... however i have seen companion items (or skill nodes, not sure) that state:
- doing cold damage also causes shock damage
- or, when doing fire damage you do cold damage instead

Blast/Strike/Area/Projectile/...: This is just the ability type ... go to your skill tree and hover over an ability ... it will state 2 of those types ... like the starting skilll of a mage is a Blast/Projectile ability, so it will receive all bonuses from both skill nodes throught your skilltree

If you open the codex (i think its key "L") there is a tab on the left which is called "Terminology" ... There they added a list of, well, terminology used in that game.
