I'm hoping they continue that trend with Veilguard.
I tend not to play demos. Particularly, in story focused games because I don't want to spoil myself. However, it could be a good move, if only because it might help them find some bugs prior to release.
That gameplay sold it to me tho, you have access to pretty much all abilities from the original trilogy and some of new ones and all at once, there is basically no class system.
Movement, dashes, jumps, generic shooting feels very fun.
And crafting gear and armour, especially since you can add tons of modifiers to weapons, like no stupid magazines, is tons of fun too.
I played through the game many times and spend some hours in multiplayer too.
But yeah, every time I play through it, those stupid openworld filler quests or those outright RNG quests you have no control over can go felate a ceiling fan.
So far I have seen absolutely nothing interesting in this game, it looks like the most generic, uninteresting, unimaginative, modern gaming era sludge and half of it looks like they just quickly removed multiplayer from it.
But maybe getting your hands on it to play it for yourself, there might be something interesting in it.
Personally I would be very curious to know how the game runs without having a super powerful computer... since they had also talked about it saying that they focused a lot on making it run on various PCs, it would be a great idea to release a demo to make sure ;)
