Inclusion? Fine. But include EVERYBODY!
To the devs: While I personally think that the chest scars thing is stupid and you could have easily done something like that with a potion but fine, whatever. I get it. But to nerf the other options? That's just dumb and shortsighted on your part. Seeing as people come in all shapes and sizes, why is B cup your largest bust size? Why is the max glute size still flat? What if I wanted my Trans woman to be curvy? Do you see what I'm saying here? I can choose to have scars or not. I should be able to choose big chest or not as well. I really think this one thing will probably make or break the game. Something to consider.

Character creation is so important, here is my female samurai in Elden Ring for reference.

why can't surgeries exist without someone insisting there's some arbitrary titty removal potion somewhere? or that there's some wizard surgeon out there casting "Boobus Beegonus" after a consultancy? fantasy games aren't a license to make stuff up for convenience whenever sensitive subject matter pops up.

the idea of amputating a body party is hardly novel, the Inquisitor for instance had his arm amputated as well, you don't need to get past a certain age in Civilization to start hacking them off; just the idea to do so.

Krem in Inquisition uses binding which is more modern invention which is predated by breast removal.

There probably is a reason for the limitations, all armor still has to fit on the skeleton.
Having body diversity is already a big step forward compared to the other 3 games, but I can understand not wanting to allow extreme sliders because the armor meshes and textures would get distorted trying to fit over it.
Chest texture especially, with all the buttons and details, is hard to make work with sliders.
With the current body morphing options available, it stays fairly standardized: the max muscular option is not a body builder, the max fat option is not reaching Left 4 Dead Boomer levels. It's a step forward, not a leap.

They're trying that level for now, it's brand new to them. Maybe they will learn from that experience and in DA5 or ME5 we will see the results of that learning experience.

I never said extreme. Just more than what is. From what I've seen shown, they might as well not have the sliders at all. And the armor won't be impacted that much considering that one of the companions has bigger boobs than the game allows you to have on your companion.

Mark my words, they will say "it's just chest scars, why do you care, just don't pick it" now. But the moment someone makes a mod removing it, I want everyone to pay attention to how they react. Suddenly the "just don't pick it" will not be valid and they will even claim that people are responsible for genocide for even doing it for their own copy of the game. They've done it before over gender identity options.
people can mod their game however they want (shid, i don't even care people make "make Wyll white mods" even how cringe that is), my only question is why remove it as an option if you can just not click it. *shrug*

My point is, it was deliberately excluded, at the expense of including something else, and it will hurt the sales of the game. Hopefully it won't be as bad as Concord, but we're seeing trends here. And you can say that Balder's Gate 3 was woke as ♥♥♥♥ or fully gay, and it did well. Sure. I'll give you that. But Balder's Gate 3 gave the player the choice of whether they wanted to play it that way or play it the opposite of that way. Other games gave been inclusive sic woke and did so without insulting players as well. Cyberpunk 2077 was very good with this. Diverse cast of characters, including a Trans woman that you date if you want, as well as the ability to make your own character Trans if you wanted, but again, about choice. So yes. We can choose not to add scars to our characters, but the very limited sliders is a sticking point to a lot of players, and I guarantee that if somebody did make a mod to give your character more body options, that mod will get deleted.

The amount of copeness is palpable. They are pushing an agenda, not being restricted from "limitations." Every other game developer has worked around this by modifying equipment meshes to fit each character model. This is just blatant laziness from the developers on top of promoting politicized nonsense onto the consumers.

Isn't that interesting ?

There was also that bug that caused V to strip if she clipped through a sunroof.

Also include my girlfriend who has a very feminine body.

As a strongly feminine type she is VERY excluded!

The devs clearly think that, for some reason, some body proportions deserve to be included while others not. But i think that's the least of the games problems.

The combat looks like it's trying too hard to be some japanese action game, the effects are way too over the top and colorful to the point that, from what i've seen, it's sometimes really hard to tell what is even going on and the UI looks like it's straight out of some MMO. Also the faces look horribly overdesigned and cartoonish.

The issues some people have with the character creator don't even make the top 10 of the biggest problems of the game for me.

Didn't Krem in DAI say that is literally how the wizards in Tevinter do it? But Krem didn't want it for personal reasons.

We're locking this thread as it has devolved into non-productive argument. Thanks for your understanding.
