concord failed because it was a pay to play hero shooter in a market with high quality free to play hero shooters like apex and overwatch. not to mention marvel rivals is coming out. It was also originally suppose to be a single player game. sounds more like classic case of corporate meddling in turning a game into a different genre causing the downfall of a project. then any "woke" boogyman.

Good games are good games. Games that focus on certain elements to the detriment of other aspects of the game tend to fail.
I can equally put together a list that's far longer of games that have failed, because they seemed more focused on a given agenda rather than creating a fun game first, or telling a compelling story, etc.
Almost every game on your list above dealt with these things as tertiary issues, rather than as core ones.
It still isn't clear where Veilguard ends up on this list, but the early materials on the game haven't been very compelling.
