David Gaider and Mike Laidlaw must be embarrassed.
They created such a master piece and this is where the franchise has ended up. I honestly feel sorry for the original creators.

What sellouts, this is how you really destroy your legacy.

They got paid good money to say that. I can only trust after i play the game myself.
Or they just genuinely mean what they said. Isn't it incredibly tiring looking for the conspiracy theory in everything you see? :TCeye::TCglass:

They should not be, since they ran away at the sight of the future. ,aside from the contractual obligations they very, very likely still have.

Well Gaider is LGBT and judging by his twitter, is pretty pro trans people.

As just a side note...Mike Laidlaw?

Wasn't he the one everyone complained was responsible for 'destroying' the franchise back when DA2 came out? The more things change, the more they stay the same.

As a side note I once saw Mike Laidlaw give an extremely tight 10 minute rant about how Final Fantasy X is an incredible game and it's one of the greatest things I've ever seen.

That's of course very very likely, the two of them having left the company 8, and 7 years ago respectively.

They don't only have to serve BioWare for life, they will also be appointed BioWarians, running around in lederhosen, serving pretzels and German beer. :stein::corncob: <--- pretzel

Honestly, since they left when the company was still "Top", I'd not be shocked if they had some sort of 10/10+ years NDAs, non-competes or any other king of sh**ty agreements to sign and get "divorce" money.

Realistically tho, even if Mike is super-ultra Trans lover, it has little to do with this game.

These kinds of NDAs and noncompetes would be very illegal.

Also Gaider has openly ♥♥♥♥ talked EA.

So illegal that they are completely commonplace and if you disagree you can go against this giant worldwide corporation legal team, I'm sure you'll win. Good luck!

Also NDA or non-compete doesn't mean you can't talk about the company. It's really a very specific document touching on very specific things, usually. But i this case, I can fully imagine "You can't constructively critique IPs you worked on" being a thing.

Your wonderful ability to imagine things doesn't make them true now, does it?

I'm sure one day later, you'll have to work, and if you get to work in competitive industry, you'll get to see how "NDA is not a thing lul thats illgal" for yourself when swiching. It, again, is very common, and not only in IT

But whatever, I'm just making up this cryptic thing noone heard about, such as NDA and non-compete agreements, because I get a 100€ everytime someone believes me. You know. From the shadow governement.

Oh no, how could I have missed your beautiful post?! Thank you for explaining your point in such detail and in such an elaborate, and non-patronizing way. I do have a question in case you come around again, though. Do I have to start working in IT, or can I just keep working at the job I've been at for the last decades? This is a big decision for me, so I wanted to ask for your input before I commit.

I also wanted to wish you all the luck with people believing you. 100€ is a lot of money!
