Luke, though, isn't a person to sell out. He's very honest and has to be so with what he says online to justify his honesty with his community. I've never known him say anything to side with Bioware or any other company for views or partnerships or monetary gains. What he says in his video about Veilgard is his honest opinion on what he experienced and what needs work. This is why he was chosen to come and play the game over people who haven't even played and are telling their communities to boycott or feed negativity about it. I for one, find him reliable and trustworthy. I also would like to say that as gamers, we have to eventually take what everyone is saying with a grain of salt. I follow Luke, but for myself, I trust that this game will beat all the negativity that are against them. I've always trusted half of whatever someone is saying until the other half comes from my own judgement or experiencing it myself to some degree of realism. Luke is viable and a genuine guy.

I agree that this should be the kind of hands-on impression that people should find compelling.

Obviously, it is just one person's impression. But if you are going to dismiss the impressions of some of the more BioWare-centric youtubers as being too biased, then you should be fair enough to afford extra weight to youtubers who initially expressed skepticism about the game.

Interesting comment that the terrible trailer we saw was forced on them by the higher ups so if this doesn't sell well I am blaming the higherups at ea they always ruin things.

Luke is someone i generally trust for game recommendations and it got me to actually have some interest in the game. Before i was on the fence leaning negetive but now im still on the fence but interested. Of course theres going to be character customization that pisses people off, as long as none of the characters in this game are as bad as Sera from inquisition then i might pick it up

Oh, I know that one, he talked in this safe "Entertaining, but I'm neutral" way about Concord as well. Don't get me wrong, I get it, you are not positive-ish, you will NOT be sitting next to the IGN guy at the exclusive event next time.

The guy side steps a lot of political issues as he did with Concord but he's very safe in what he says which is smart for him.

He doesn't like the game. He's playing it safe and playing ball. His statement is full of "if's" and "maybe's". He also clearly states he basically went in with zero expectations and wasn't disappointed as a result. His demeanour in his summary basically tells all: He's not hopeful for this.

The other thing is: Everyone commenting about this game at this point are in "access journalism": They have to say good things or keep a very "balanced" opinion of the game otherwise they'll get blacklisted and won't get preview keys. Even Outside XBox were very skittish going as far as to say the game is going to piss a lot of people off but "only dragon age fans" while trying to put a twist on it with the guy who played it saying "Well, I liked it..." yet his face is incredibly sour looking as he says it.

It's linear, the characters are ugly, the facial animations are still terrible, graphically it's just not great - it looks dated and very cartoonish - there is no open world and the combat is incredibly streamlined and "accessible"(Not in the "We made this accessbile for people with disabilities"; more "we made this as easy as possible so just about anyone can play it" which is not a compliment and has never gone down well in gaming).

Stop living in lala land. The game has very little if anything going for it.

Every account was defaulted to private years ago... Why would anyone bother to change the default? Do I care that people see I have less than 20 hours played in the last two weeks and the last game I played was Space Marine 2 and Stellaris? No. Why even make such a moot argument? What's the point of this comment?

Don't want to butt in, but it's just that people want to know whether they are talking to one-use throwaway account or an actual personal account. It unsurprisingly matters when you want to decided whether to have a discussion or not.

Honestly, I could see walking away from a preview of Outlaws being pretty impressed, and being assured that any pesky bugs would be fixed in the two months before launch. And then they didn't fix the bugs, and we got what we got.

Most preview events are only a couple of hours long. It's especially rare, and a sign of good faith, that this one went on for basically a full day.
