CHARACTER CREATOR Demo with Importing option
I can't be the only person who ends up spending several hours within the character creator every time a good one gets included in an RPG.

I think Capcom had a genius idea with the Dragon's Dogma 2 Character Creator & Storage tool. They included a few slots to try and test several designs and you could import them directly into the game on release. It skyrocketed the interest for the game too, Reddit and Youtube were flooded with DD2 characters for days before release and many people discovered the title that way.

It's a win-win marketing move (low cost / great potential benefits) and in my opinion should be a standard practice.

I'll preorder the game in the following days, I would be grateful if the studio could release a Character Creator standalone tool. I googled it and saw some journalists already asked the devs about it and they gave ambiguous answers so I'd like to get a clear response if possible.

I'd love that. I always spend hours making my characters. Would be nice to jump into the story right away on the release day.
But if I am happy after an hour I would want to go further and see the story as soon as possible! Not go back and fumble with CC.)
In any case, I doubt we'll have an early CC, it is not something Bioware ever did. I would be happy to be wrong.

This! 100% this!

But yeah, there aren't any clear answers to be had at the moment on whether they'll actually do it or not. The devs did mention they'd like to, but it's not in their hands. That's a higher up decision.

Thanks for taking the time to comment in detail, that being said:

English is not my native language but I don't think my comment implied anything related to this. I assume my pc can run the game without problems (unless it's more demanding than DD2, SotE or MHW in ultra 4K). Steam deck verified before release and the recommended settings imply good performance or not a very graphically demanding title.

I've never refunded a game, but I don't see the connection between a character creator and testing the gameplay.

About the spell doom, what do you mean? Did you use Reddit or Youtube the weeks before DD2 was released? You've posted an screenshot of a poorly designed character, just search "dragon's dogma 2 character creation" in YT and you'll find hundreds of amazing designs made by the community.

This is what I want. Testing a few characters to choose the perfect one for me with time and (if possible) being able to store a few for different savefiles with other builds. DD2 has a single savefile and I still changed my character appearance 3-4 times before finishing the game, so the storing option is always welcome.

Making your character is part of the experience at launch.

I don't mean to be rude, but IT IS a problem for me and I know that I can run the game and want it.

Again, to each their own. It may be part of the experience for you, I prefer to have time to design my character without the pressure of the hype.

I thought you misunderstood my petition in your first reply, but if you just disagree it's ok. As you can see, the predominant opinion on this thread is favorable to the idea.

PS: I've just realized the screenshot you posted is of a character YOU made and uploaded to the DD2 forum back in March. I googled the name and it's a real person... I don't know what's your problem but that's an awful thing to do and I suspect you're just trolling so I'll just move on.

Second this, I'd like to preplan my Rook and have them ready to go when the game is out so I can dive into the story.

But unfortunately we have nothing past the information the devs gave the journalists.

They did for DAO, but that was probably a lot easier at the time.
They did? I guess I missed that. That was the era I still bought hard copies and did not surf the net much beforehand. But thanks for correction.

They did indeed. You could also upload the portraits from the CC to the official BioWare forum so that you could use them as your forum avatar.
Wow! I played Bioware games at launch since original BG and did not know that. But then again, I did not pre-research in internet much those days, just the date of release was good enough for me.) It would be cool if Veilguard could have something like that.

Will people decide a game is not for them for CC only? Seems a bit excessive. Plus I think they can see if it is to their liking or not in the first 10 minutes. Well, maybe 20. But you do not spend 3 hours in CC without already dying to play the game. I think?

I know I will. But I play for the story and characters and this can not be judged in the first two hours anyway. Might as well spend them making my MC pretty.)
