Veilguard Creative Director : "Choices from Dragon Age: Origins and Dragon Age 2 won’t affect Veilguard"
So... Can we finally admit that this game is completely trash and worthless?

Veilguard will be worse than Andromeda...

Why would that make it trash? It's a new game with its own story; it doesn't have to directly continue from Origins or DA2. BG3 didn't bring in any choices from BG1 and 2, and that didn't hurt that game because it wasn't a direct sequel to the events of the previous games.

And speaking of Andromeda, did it import changes from ME1-3 at all? Not that that would have helped that game. : \

As an old time fan of Bioware since the golden era of crpgs. This is where I give up. I was really rooting for them. Veilguard might be the final nail in the coffin for Bioware.

Baldur's Gate 3 at least has the excuse of being made by a different studio. Continuity is what makes BioWare games interesting. If Morrigan doesn't have her son in Veilguard or if a character I killed just shows up again for no reason (hello leliana), sorry, but that's just dumb

I know it can be difficult for developers to connect all the story branches in the upcoming games, but they had 10 years ! to work on it instead of making Anthem...
They managed to pull it off in the Mass Effect games with less tech and times, so there’s really no excuse !

I am begging you people to look up what continuity means.

Harry Potter 1’s sequel isn’t Star Wars 2.
The Lord of the Rings sequel isn’t Terminator.
Dragon Age: Origins sequel isn’t Fortnite... oh wait!

If Veilguard were coming out just a couple years after Inquisition, the way the Mass Effect trilogy and the previous DA games did, I'd probably agree with you, but it's been a decade since the last Dragon Age. Not only is Veilguard effectively being made by a new studio (like BG3), but I also don't think they can put focus on events that a lot of players aren't likely to remember clearly or have even experienced. They're using the main events of Inquisition as the jumping off point for Veilguard's story, and I think that's the important continuity this game needs to implement. It's unlikely details like whether or not Morrigan has a kid will be important in this particular story.
If there's a Dragon Age 5 in 2027, then I'd expect to be importing my Veilguard save into there.

LotR is set in a distant past of our own world. Terminator is set in the 80's (of our own world).

Therefore, Terminator is a LotR sequel.

It wouldn’t have taken much to add in some quick cameos or a few lines about the saves from the previous games..The devs are just being lazy
They prefer to waste time on pronouns and top scars

It seems that Bioware doesnt give a ♥♥♥♥ about their fans, it's about time that fans stop giving a ♥♥♥♥ about their new games also. Imagine waiting for 10 years for this game and you get this woke weird crap instead that failed all fans expectations.I mean are you freaking kidding me... Why the hell are all the characters in this game so damn ugly and whats up with those ridiculous breasts and glutes sliders? And who needs top surgery scars in a fantasy world lmfao. I'm a woman and I love building attractive characters, hell I've even managed to create some in DAI and it wasn't easy, beleive me,but in this game? I highly doubt it.

I suspect that writing, recording VO, and animating a conversation referencing a side quest from back in Origins takes a lot more work than adding pronoun or cosmetic body options to a character creator.

^This forum is giving more attention to pronouns and surgery scars than the ding dang game is. I'm surprised half the people here can sleep at night for thinking about them. : p
