It's fine to think the awards are pointless, that wasn't the context of my link. The context of my link is to the clever people who do not understand how the GoTY title is officially given in a widely recognizable manner.
And that is done through the TGA. It's video game Oscars, only meaningful when you want to brag a game you liked won.
Whether you and I put value in that doesn't matter when people can't be bothered to research further than someone telling them "IGN bad"
I don't even like IGN, so I don't care if Poppy Playtime is their GoTY.
The name for a raccoon in German translates to Wash Bear because racoons tend to rinse their food in water before eating it.
Racoons are also not native to Germany. They were imported for their fur and escaped into the eco system.
The scientific name of the raccoon, Procyon lotor (my prior alias on here), basically translates to "before dog (or pre-canid) who washes," for that exact reason.
