Thoughts on the new Qunari?
I think it's terrible. They look like cosplayers now.

It's like they had to make them look more human so they could make them 'diverse'. Ridiculous.
Is there even an explanation for the change? I mean, it's not like they are lacking the source material...

Tldr... Bring me back the Arishok from DA 2 please.

actually every companion is non-binary now. Varric and Solas too. Even the Maker goes by they/them.

The entire game is non-binary. BioWare invented a new law of physics allowing an electrical circuit to achieve a third state where it is neither off nor on. Phase two will be to force this transcurrent into all of your appliances, starting with your children's toys and your wife's marital aids.

I hate when that happens.

Honestly, I feel like qunari design peaked in Dragon Age 2. They were super cool and distinct there. I don't love the smoother foreheads that we're getting for veilguard. (Honestly, hot take, I feel like even Iron Bull in Inquisition is a little too 'normal human' for me.) That being said, I think I'll be able to find a compromise I actually like in the character creator for my eventual qunari run. Especially if they have some hairstyles that make the forehead stand out less.

The female Rook they showed looked OK. They need to fix the hairline and transition to horns. Then they would be fine. Probably going to be able to mod that if they don't.

I think they have a smoothing post processing effect on aswell? Which makes skin textures look too smooth and lose details which is worse with the Qunari.

Also the DA2 Qunari literally only had a single face model, and it seems like DA:V uses the CC for most characters. There was going to be a compromise if they are actually in the story significantly because they cannot get away with making them clones again.

It's an abomination, but still not as ugly as Taash.

They REALLY need to pull a Sonic on some of the character designs...
The qunari look awful

Well, now we know and the qunari models absolutely suck. They look like someone tried to photoshop horns onto a bad human digital model. It’s absolutely atrocious. There was no reason to change how the qunari looked. Maybe if they spent less time trying to cram in and represent every single color of the LGBTQRSTHNDJGKSKCHDKD+ rainbow and spent more time trying to just make a good game the Qunari wouldn’t look like they were designed by a 10 year old wannabe cosplayer trying to make a Halloween costume out of their mom’s knitting supplies & dad’s workshop scraps, that’s in the rare instance that there even is a dad these days.

their design has quite literally flip flopped since origins

horns werent even a thing till 2 where they mostly used the single shared model(and women werent even present outside of concept art), hornlessness was then retconned to be a rare special thing(despite all qunari in origins being hornelss, including random mercs)

anyways, fake fan spotted

I don't have much comment on the player character qunari.

The enemy male qunari/antaam though? Who are barely wearing anything? Big beefy burly men on display for my viewing pleasure? The only piece of clothing is a mask and codpiece? Mmm... Thank you for giving me something for my dreams. Everyone complaining about gender and what not, despite having a very masculine representation there for us. To feast on.

Love the design.

I prefer the DA2 ones, but the ones you meet with headgear on are cool.

I dont even mind their faces anymore. What pisses me off more is how Qunari Rook is neither as buff/muscular nor as tall as Qunari should be. My male Qunari Rook is at max height and muscle sliders, and he is still smaller and less buff than Taash... <_<
