You been watching Youtube videos again?
Are there LBTQ characters in the game? I don't care, they exist in real life, would be odd to think they wouldn't exist in other worlds.
You could have gay romances in DA1 and ME1, men just wasn't so weak back then that they got too scared to play the game.
If you don't want to enjoy a game because you are afraid of the content, that is fine, but is so peculiar that your little loud group think that it has any impact on sane people. So weird.
So if a video game has a male only character or doesn't allow character creation I'll be less excited, I'd imagine this extends to people that are transgender and it makes them happier.
I felt this way with Battlefield 5 having female troops, as it allowed me to unlock and enjoy customization. Were as if it was male only, I'd not really be into the customization or enjoy anything I unlocked. With Veilguard I'd simply buy it due to the character creator, even if It wasn't a Dragon Age game or good. I'd enjoy just that aspect of the game.
Let me Illustrate:
Scenario 1:
You play as a floor washer. You are a white man and your job is to wash floors for the white man who is your boss. These are the only two characters in the game.
Politics: So do only white men exist in this world? Why are both the characters white, if you're only going to have two of them, why not at least make them different colors to help differentiate them? Or do non-white people not deserve to be in games. Are there no women in this world? Are women not allowed to work outside the home?
Scenario 2: You play as a white man washing floors for a black woman.
Politics: Of course the white man is doing labor for the DEI overlord black woman.
Scenario 3) You play as a black woman washing floors for a white man
Politics: And of course they make the black woman do all the work. She's still on her knees despite 1862 setting her free. That's how people like to draw her.
Scenario 4) You play a black man working for a white woman.
Politics: See above.
Scenario 5: you play as a black woman working for another black woman
Politics: So do only black women exist in this world? If you're going to only have two of them, why not make one white? Is this oppression of white people? Or white men, why are there no men in this game?
Etc.
Every scenario has political implications once you put people into it, even if they don't speak it, they reinforce a world view.
Less is more. Understating your intentions is more effective than overstating them, and they're breaking these rules left and right. But I have to admit the combat looks fun.
