the difference is this:
- the author of the harry potter books had no involvement in the making of the game, so her views don't matter because she can't influence the game with her views
- the f*kn DEVS of this game have a certain ideology, so i think it's more than reasonable to assume that their views will seep into the game they make, not to mention the sneak-peaks of wokeness that were very vivid in the first trailer
and please, for f*cks sake, everyone just please f*kn stop pointing out how much of a hypocrite other people are for whatever reason! when you all f*kn know full well that when you personally support something, you go all up in arms about it, no matter if your argument is legitimate or not! people stick with their own views on things all the time! you know why? cuz others will and they might beat you through hipocrisy, so you are forced to play the same game, even if you are an honest person in general!
... wukong was f*kn awesome
Do you have a humaliation fetish? I would rather not play into your kink.
Well I am glad you seem to be taking the right approach then. I just don't know if 2 hours is enough time to really tell. Especially when people at the early press event loved it initially and then many of them ended up not feeling the same once they actually started playing it for their review.
Yea, people are just too blinded and invested in their political team.
Another problem is people read into things and start fighting shadows of what they want to rail against instead of what I'm actually saying so the conversation gets really murky as it goes on
Brother man you need to take a step away from the computer and breathe for a second, don't let an internet discussion upset you or ruin your day <3
Also thank you for all the points ^^
Yea there seems to be TONS of problems with the game. It's hard to tell how bad the writing is since none of the reviews I've seen have actually included spoilers but Skill Up's was REALLY scathing.
The only thing that made me consider trying it is that Mort seemed to have a really fun time with it, and he tends to like alot of the same CRPGs that I do so that was a surprise...
We aren't going to buy it because it looks like woke trash.
We don't care whether you buy it.
It was about the fact that JK was funding (and continues to fund) groups who push anti-trans legislation... and since she gets royalties from anything with the Harry Potter label, the money spent on the game ends up with those groups.
If JK was either dead or the royalties ended up with someone else, there wouldn't have been the (again, attempted) boycott. Because, again, it was never about the content of the game.
The reaction to DAV however is entirely about the content of the game (some objections reasonable, some not).
They're not comparable scenarios.
And no one said DA:V is bad because the creatores like transgenders, but it's because the creatores use the game to promote their political world views and if you don't agree with them you are a horrible person.
The game just looks really bad to me, even without the political views of the creators i still wouldn't have bought it. The inserted political views just make the game look even worse then it already does.
Yea it wasn't a real bear, and the amount of people I've heard complaining about how there's 'beastiality' in the game is really funny x3
Very well could be <3
