people are so desperate for this to suck they are attacking anything positive...

its probably going to be alright - not game of the year - but not crap both sides should chill and see how it goes.

Starfield had a good launch, but the user reviews went down heavily and I feel it's fair, the game is truly janky.
User reviews mean nothing. People leave user reviews just to troll. It's a joke and nobody buys games based off them. Saying otherwise is a lie.

Imagine paying 60€ for a ps3 looking game, with story so cringe that you will probably die while listening/reading it.

Check all the gamers review, this is should be removed like Concord and DustBorn.
Sad they ruined this IP as well... rest in peace DA Legacy

I do, and I usually decide to buy Games according to the more Negative Reviews, because they actually say what they dont like on the game, and I can decide if I dont like that also, or if I dont care about that.

"Everything is Awesome, 10/10" doesnt tell me anything.

Though, I mean its hard to actually read a Review and comprehend what they write, to discern if its a "Meme/Troll Review".

Users are the ones that buy games not the modern audience, if we users dont buy the game Concord(flop) happens like what we saw happening this year.
Companies need money to stay a float and we are the ones that bring the money in.
My bet is that those game companies forgot about that.
Sure many leave bad reviews just to troll but if the game is really good the trolls reviews gets burried by the good reviews.

Users reviews stopped be a decision point for me since more than a decade, it's one input among others, and it becomes worse and worse with accumulation of games I enjoyed play getting weird reviews rate.

For player counts, it's close to zero interest for a single player RPG. if it's about only playing a few top RPG per decade ok perhaps, for RPG fans, it's a useless information, more a stuff Multiplayer players are obsessed with.

So paid or involved journalists are legitimate sources but actually players are not?

What kind of logic is this? The poster already lost because they gave them time? Please explain. Here's what I took from their statement....

They have researched on their own, decided to vote with their wallet and are being honest pushing back against mega corporations and studio funding for marketing bots and paid actors to influence the way games are bought which are NOW being more watched by the FTC and european offices like GDPR. That's exactly why to still vote with your wallet and push back vocally and legally against the predatory practices of horrible practices that have gone on too long.

So please educate me on what I am missing here?
