I wonder how many of the "defenders" were even old enough when Origins came out. It's sad what has become of this franchise. The writing is orders of magnitude worse, clearly showing that nothing remains of the original writers.

I don't really care about reviewer scores. Tend to take people who buy games for fun as a buyers guide, followed by player retention, not people who make a living playing games (also relying on continued access to said games to remain employed).

I mean it's sitting at mostly positive on steam with 70k+ playing.... RDR2 was at 77k. I don't know how anyone being objective can play that down. Now personally I don't get it as I've been watching gameplay since this morning and it's mediocre at best but the numbers are what they are.

This is not a good comparison because RDR 2 came out on steam a full year later after it came already was out on console. Which means you don't get the full release date numbers for steam as if you would had it been released on both platforms on the same time, people who own both platforms would have already played it a year earlier.

You already have a gold standard you can compare dragon age to.... and that would be BG 3... It released on all platforms at the same time... and is the same genre of game.
