So how was trans inclusion 10 years ago not woke but it is now?
So you know in Inquisition there was a whole trans character with their own storyline and even a possibility of a background romance! But no one seemed to care that much.

Now 10 years later they might just mention a trans person (we don’t actually know at this point). And BioWare are a woke conspiracy that are forcing you to love gay people…

Because people no longer accept anything and feed solely on hatred, violence and conflicts.

You can't blame them though, psychology is the field that has made the most progress in the last 40 years, and people have no weapon to protect themselves from the manipulation and influence they have been subjected to since birth.

Keeping people and nations against each other in order to govern and exploit them more and more is a trick as old as Rome itself.

Dragon age origins had shale. A golem who identified as female, iirc.

enough said lol.
It's definitely not as bad as it could be. People have always cross dressed going back to I don't even know how far back. It was actually really common. So for it to be out of context, well... not as much as you would think.

I'm not defending it, the politics need to be left at the door. Focus on making quality entertainment, especially when your studio is at risk of being shut down. We need more talent and less activism.
Not saying there werent code dressers, but back in the day they dont go on and tell people about identify themselves as the opposite gender or tell them i am none of those gender or use grammatically error pronouns. They do it in their own private little time and they dont deny the reality of who they are either. All they do is imagine what they are and it's fine cause everyone does it, but then after that everyone has to grounded in reality, which is the most important thing and fantasy characters in games face the same situation as any other.

A golem isn't a man, though.

A golem can be anything it wants to be, as long as it has the "bits". pretty easy for a golem to be anything it wants.

Golems are sexless.
and to go further along all a golem needed to be powered was a soul.
and last i checked the believe was still there that both man and woman have souls.
so not sure what your point is about shale being original a woman and somehow that wouldn't be posible? cause the soul is just transfered from a human (ye ok dwarf in this situation) to a stone machine (aka the golem)

Mostly because 10 years ago they didn't feel the need to make the char scream it, they kept it quiet on the downlow and did not focus on it. Compared to today where its front and center screaming in everyones face, and that is why gamers don't like it. The problem is most games including this one force the stuff in and it just feels like its forced.

LIke Cyberpunk 2077 did it well, one of the chars is trans, but she didn't go on how trans she was or anything like that, it was mentioned once in passing during her char questline and then never again, the char never focused on it with it becoming her entire identity.

Baldurs Gate 3 also does it well, its pretty hidden and you have to look for the "woke" stuff to find it, the average player is not just going to stumble onto it, but BG3 doesn't preach about it or shove it in the players face any chance it gets. This is the way you do inclusion properly. They are there, but its not made front and center and focused on. It feels more natural this way.

When its done like those 2 games I mentioned gamers are more ok with it. But if its done preachy or in a way that forces it on the player that is when gamers usually say no thanks.

Sadly DA:V forces it on the player in several ways. Char creator being a big one with how you can't really give female chars any chest or butt size, chest size even at 100% is A or low B cups at best, you can barely notice them. They also look andrognyious at best, and the char creator seems to be made to cater to people into that. For a game that want's to be inclusive it sure has a awefully non-inclusive char creator. At least this is the view of the char creator that most of us know of, for all we know they may have changed it between that preview of the char creator and release. Most of us will have to wait till the 31st to see.

Good post. The trans etc yada discussion is extremely disproportionate to the real world so to say, and it is absolutely weird to let it take the main stage in a mainstream game. It makes the trans advocates seem out of touch and its forcing down politics and ideologies that normal and most people dont care at all about.
We are not against you we just dont care, just like we dont care about other random things.

Because it is forced propaganda now. The main point in the games, movies, etc. Story, characters do not matter at all.

Let me ask you smt: you have a dish in front of you, do you want to eat it yourself or do you want someone else spoon-feed you like moms hastily spoon-feed their children before going to school?
That's the real problem; It's not about the idea that you want to deliver, it's about how you deliver it. That's why BG3 succeed; The game handles it smart, NOT subtle, but smart.
