Why does the pre-order armor look bad?

Like, do they not want people to pre-order their game or something?
Why are we getting the armor equivalent of new jeans with holes purposely put in them?
Like, besides the stain of stupidity the armor looks fine [although the mage helmet looks goofy, but I don't believe in helmets anyways].

I'm guessing you are new to the series.

No Judgment. Its just something of a classic to the series. Even Mass Effect had a version of the Blood Dragon Armor. (So did Kingdom of Amalur, now that I think of it)

Not a big fan of cosmetics, find it way more fun to see the progression through the gear along the way. I just preorder so i don't forget kinda :O

I think it looks fine. Reminds me of the armor you got in ME2 if you owned Origins. I usually don't use cosmetic promo armors though; I'd rather get the baseline experience.

I think the mage armor looks ok.

And I'm not crazy about the warrior armor, but it is kind of a throwback to the blood dragon armor set from Origins so that's kind of cool.

The rogue set looks atrocious though.

It depends on how it'll look ingame, screens only tell so much. Aside from that I hope we can dye stuff as this will probably make a difference too^^

It looks fine to me but I'm never gonna use it. Would rather look at the new sets.

The Blood Dragon Armor was free DLC if you bought DA:O new.

It's a callback to that. It even showed up in Mass Effect 2 and 3.
