Personally, I'm on team "redeem him" or "smack him upside the head enough that he realizes he can't fix what he did and needs to move on and be better", but I do see the appeal in punching him in the face and making an enemy out of him.

I am going to try and redeem Solas if I am able to. If that is not an option, I am planning to stop him by force if necessary.

Solas - he is one of those characters that you pity and hate at the same time, yes what he planned to do with the veil was idiotic, but at the same time there was a logic about it and a history with the Elven races being brought to near extinction.

It is clear Flemeth was in the same boat, but nobody hates her for it :P

I am going to try to give my Lavellan a happy ending with Solas if I can. I romanced him in Inquisition so I really want a happy ending for my Inquisitor.

Andres when he blew up the chantery, and Fenris after trying to help him out and trying to do every thing to help him heal he still turned on my pc because i sided with the mages he proved himself a fanatic just like Andres

I had Fenris stay with my Hawke even though she sided with the mages, but my female Hawke romanced Fenris.

I hate the concept of slavery more than i hate Fenris my biggest problem is he could never see the chantry mages where just as much victims as he was

Maybe it’s time for the Rook to crack that egg. Solas needs to face the damage he’s done, not as some lofty moral lesson, but in a way that makes him realize he’s not above it all.

I always got bad vibes from Solas. I got the feeling that he was helping you in DA:I out of pragmatism. Then again, I rarely used him because I rolled with Varric, Iron Bull, and Blackwall. And sometimes Vivienne because of her "bantz" with Iron Bull.
