Crappy Aesthetic, combat is cluttered with spell effects and the like to the point it looks confusing. Its less about visual fidelity and more about just a really ugly aesthetic.

I say you should go to an optometrist and make them very rich. The game is absolutely beautiful, apart from some overly smooth faces. A huge improvement over the sweaty, oily, plastic Inquisition, although the environments in that game still look great.

When has Bioware ever been at the cutting edge of graphics? I'm just happy it looks better than the last game.

Anthem still looks great.

I disagree, the quality has definitely improved although it's hard to appreciate because of the shift in art style. If that new style doesn't appeal, it's not gonna look good whether it's got Inquisition or 2022-24 graphics.

The level design for opening in Minrathos looks really good, and if the rest of the game is like this with tight, handmade levels I'll take that over sprawling open worlds with nothing. Hopefully this is a step in the right direction. Bioware have had a lot of misses and if this game tanks, they're in trouble. I think it'll be a solid 7/8 out of 10. I'll pre-order on Monday once reviews are out and if they're good to great, I'll get it.

its a downgrade from the decade old last game

It's a generational leap beyond what's out currently in RPG's. It will be the title that pushes ray tracing to mainstream.
