Deluxe Edition Bonus... 20 bucks for what???
20 bucks for cosmetic items ingame? Are you kidding me? not even a DLC included? not even a usefull item that makes you wanna buy the deluxe edition? 20 euros for sets that look like they were discarded for the world of warcraft burning crusade dungeons Tier 0,5 or so. It is really scary and really funny at the same time. What is going on? Am I missing something? They really want me to pay 20 euros more for cosmetic sets that dont even look good?

Yes, and it's a good thing that Digital Deluxe items are just optional stuff and to support the dev team. If you don't like it then you can just buy the base version as I have.

Yeah, it's a lot for just some cosmetics I don't love. But that's why I bought the regular version. I think this is actually a lot less predatory than what other games do. By not buying the deluxe version, you aren't missing out on any story content that should have been in the game in the first place. It's also not going with the trend I really hate of making the game available earlier for people who pay more. I see the deluxe version as being for people who have cash to burn or just want to give Bioware some more support.

i smell copium.
How so? This is very pro-customer move as AAA Digital Deluxe editions tend to be very predatory these days like giving a headstart, locking content behind it and so on. With this there's no incentive to pay extra if you don't like what Digital Deluxe offers.

I first wanted to buy the deluxe edition because I thought it would include all DLC or whatever. After reading the notes what is included... I switched back to the normal edition. It seems it is not a deluxe edition but a clown edition.

usually you can expect from the deluxe edition to be something like the GOTY edition with all expansions and so on included. they just put stuff the had lying around from the development in a package and wrote "deluxe" on the box. nobody needs these cosmetics. infact "cosmetics" might be another box in the box too. because usually cosmetics improve the optics.

no its like playing 20 bucks for a banana to "support" your local super market. I dont mind the deluxe version being 20 bucks more expensive. I mind the deluxe version being nothing else than another word for nothing. you have to put something in there before you charge extra money. seems like they skipped the effort.

No they are giving you an excuse NOT to pay extra for a deluxe edition.
This is a good thing. You'll miss nothing other than ugly outfits.
Pre-order Blood Armor is much nicer and you get that with the basic version.

Cosmetics have never been something that has mattered to me in games, especially FPS games. In FPS games it feels more like you are buying the skin/cosmetic for everyone else as they see it more than you do, but opinions will vary.

After using a skin or cosmetic for like 30 minutes, do you really even notice it anymore or are you focused on the gameplay ?

Support the devs lol

Bioware, the small indie studio backed by the humble publisher known as Electronic Arts, needs your support.

Didnt EA make like $4.3 billion last year in microtransactions ?

I am pissed because they count on that people have certain expectations when reading "deluxe edition" like all dlc or free items or OST or other things. this time its nothing but an ugly skin. I bet a lot of deluxe edition buyers dont realize till after buying, and then a certain percentage is too lazy to refund.

The irony is that if the Deluxe Edition launched with $20 DLC that included story content and whatnot "fans" would complain that the devs are locking important content behind a paywall. Similar to On-disc DLC. Or like Javik in ME3.

Which is worse, optional content that you can easily ignore or story content that existed in the base game but was portioned off to sell as DLC?

both options are ♥♥♥♥. thats why I refuse to accept there is only this dichotomy.

DLC Story content for 20 bucks is a shame. 20 bucks for nothing is even worse.

Because when there will be a DLC, you can bet your house it will be more than 20 bucks. because skins are now 20 bucks.

make the game 70,- from the getgo, deliver DLC for free until the end.

So you'd rather be charged more for DLC you might not want instead of having the option of paying less? The f*ck? Surely it's better to have a choice rather than be forced to pay a higher premium?

Hopefully EU will begin to ban the practice, but I mean.. its taken 6 years now, will most likely take 7 more... some individual countries in the EU have already banned the practice.
I'm not against companies selling useless ♥♥♥♥. Free market and all that.

I just found it hilarious someone wanted to give alms to poor Bioware.
I didn't give any alms. As I said I bought the base version as I had no desire to buy the extra skins from Deluxe Edition. The point I was making if you want to give extra money for BioWare there's an option to do so even if you don't much in return hence why I used term 'support the devs'. That said actual devs won't see majority, if at all, of that money anyway even if you buy Deluxe Edition.

If we spent less money on deluxe editions for video games we would have more money for $500 Ahri skins and $90 mounts in WoW.
