How are the elven gods related to the Black city?
So as I understand it, the elven gods were/are just powerful elven mages that came to be worshipped as gods. That the Veil was created to trap them in the Fade.

If so how are these elven gods related to the Black City? Is there any connection at all? Or is the Black City already there when these gods got trapped?

We know Chantry myth is somewhat based on historical facts, but obviously changed. I don't believe the Maker exists, or if it does it's just a fade spirit.

The Evanuris are responsible for the creation of the blight. Either intentionally as a weapon or as an accident of experimenting with Lyrium and the Titans.

There is the elven legend of Andruil being corrupted when she made weapons of the void and it brought plague to her lands. Which sounds like the blight to me. We know the Evanuris fought a war against the titans. It's likely the blight was a result of that war, and it was locked away in the Fade with them until the magisters brought it out.

I don't believe we have an answer to that question.

Supposedly, Dragon Age was built with some kind of cosmic horror (tm HP Lovecraft) behind everything.

So we may or may not hear more about the Black City in Veilguard. Or the elven gods may have no interest in that. Or maybe one of them was the Maker, created the city, and then became corrupted and abandoned it. Maybe there never has been a Maker. and it was them all along.

Lots of possibilities. I wouldn't think we'll get many answers, but maybe they'll give us a few.

But then you run into the problem that Andraste was the Chosen of the Maker, his bride. And she most likely had a purified Elder God soul like Kieran had or has (Yes, I know Flemeth supposedly took it away, but the kid didn't die. I'm skeptical of him having two souls is all I'm going to say on that). So it seems like either Andraste was lying for some strange reason, or we're still left with the problem of what are the Elder Gods? Because it's more than dragons.

It seems like the Maker must exist (though I would not rule out him being one of the Elven gods as a possibility) .

Now, I'll agree with you that Andruil making armor of the void (I seem to remember it was armor in particular that she was wearing all the time) probably corrupted her, and she definitely was Patient Zero for spreading the Blight based on the stories we have.

I'm not sure if the elven gods are actually the responsible party or if it was a bio weapon released by an enemy of theirs.

As I said before, original devs were thinking in terms of cosmic horror.

Though we may never get an answer, and that's not such a bad thing either. Leaves a mystery to debate.

Or Andraste was just a grifter or delusional. Lots of people think they're prophets, even in the real world, and they're all delusional or grifters. (Or both)

Most other such people don't gather an army, free the slaves, found a religion, and create legit miracles like saving the Arl of Redcliff.

Andraste seems to be legit and not just crazy.
