Air conditioners taking a stand.
I'm not too sure about it being made for a larger audience. I get the impression they want to keep their audience as limited and exclusive as possible, going as far as insulting "tourists".
Neon colors are associated with tech, usually.
I've heard Veilguard called mage punk. And I kind of like that vibe and description. It suits the setting well enough.
The thing I'll personally say about the purple in the demos I've seen is there's too much of it. Like the whole center of the dialogue wheel being purple is just visibly too much. It covers the actions and is actually kind of boring.
It contrasts poorly with the setting. Yeah. That's probably a good way to put it into words.
You're on a space ship in ME, and the wheel is several shades of blue and bluish white, with orange-yellow for selecting options and it's smaller or at least I think it is. It's more of an oval most of the time. And It fits the setting.
This is a giant purple circle doesn't fit when you're sitting in some old ruins or going into a bookshop or walking through a forest. It's out of place and much larger.
