Which classes & specialization is tickling your fancy?

So I usually play a mage for most of the dragon age series. Partly for their story and party for the playstyle (still misses DAO's summoner builds). Though I did like playing as an archer as well in DAI

So in DAI, I went with the Knight-Enchanter for my PC, mainly cos it really satisfied my Jedi knight fantasy. With the playstyle striding that of a tank and damage dealer. You get to dash right into the action and stay there dishing out damage. Not to mention quite a bit of battlefield mobility with the right build. It was also very good at keeping the party alive by throwing out shields left and right.

For DAVG, after watching the classes and specializations trailers/spotlights, I find myself drifting more towards the evoker. It feels more like a classic mage. Plus AOE dmg is always a plus in combat.

I did thought of the Spellbalde and it does look very cool in the previews, but my current gripe with the specialization, is the need to swap between weapons and how that affects your playstyle and combat options. I'm on the fence if this gives that specialization more options, or will it just get in the way of the faster paced combat.

So what's your thoughts on the classes and specializations? Any catching your eye?

All of them.) And I will try them all. But the ones standing out the most for me are Spellblade (I wish we could have a sword, not a dagger, but I can live with that) and Veil Ranger. They will be first and second, I think (but things can change once I will actually be playing).

I'm going for Spellblade in my first playthrough. I haven't decided on the second yet, but I think I'll play some type of warrior for a change. This is the first game where warrior gameplay looks fun to me so I'd like to give it a try.

Being Straight simply means refusing the advances of the gay characters and hoping that the devlopers didn't add in a second attempt later on in the game. It's kinda cringe if you don't swing that way. I remember there being a weird gay romance like that in ME3. It honestly makes me not even want to talk to that character lol. It should never be in your face until you engage with it yourself.

So your first ability is called “I don’t Swing that Way” and all it does is turn down gay people? What a useless ability, you can just say no and you won't be spending any resources for it.

I think you should look for a different specialization for your warrior.

Duelist Rogue is finally back so I'm there for it. Rogue specializations for Inquisition were terrible.

I played a gay Shepard and for the entire mass effect Trilogy I had to dodge Liara, Jack, Miranda, Ashley and Tali throwing themselfs at my shepard.

Turning down Cortez once is fine. You will live.

warrior. bonking with two-handed weapons never gets old and since I'm a fan of sword and shield in monster hunter, I'll also try a traditional tank. after that spellblade and thief. haven't seen anything else so far.

Cortez never hits on you. Just like Traynor, you have to make the first move and they have turndown lines if you're the wrong gender. Traynor's one is pretty fun.

Both characters have a friendship option at the same time as the flirt options. Actually now that I recall, there's a funny bit with Cortez at that point where you could pretend to be offended he's not looking at you even if you're straight. I always liked doing that one for the funny.

Same, mostly cause I don't visually like that Warden AOE with yellow arrows coming from sky (or I would be a pure Warden again).

That's what I thought - you actually have to show interest first. It just would be weird for Cortez specifically to make a first move considering his story.
